Our planet’s resources are finite, and adopting sustainable consumption and production patterns is critical for long-term survival. In line with SDG 12: Responsible Consumption & Production, Hriday Foundation India promotes conscious choices, waste reduction, and circular economy principles across communities.

Our Key Interventions

  • Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Promoting sustainable waste management practices to minimize landfill waste and encourage resource recovery.
  • Community Waste Management: Supporting local bodies and institutions in setting up systems for waste segregation, composting, and recycling.
  • E-Waste Awareness: Educating communities about the hazards of electronic waste and promoting safe disposal and recycling mechanisms.
  • Sustainability Education: Conducting awareness campaigns that promote mindful consumption and responsible lifestyles.
  • Partnership for Green Practices: Working with institutions and grassroots groups to adopt eco-friendly approaches that reduce environmental impact.

Through joint initiatives, Hriday Foundation India has contributed to improved awareness and adoption of sustainable practices across communities and institutions.

By running awareness drives and practical demonstrations, we use SBCC to shift mindsets towards sustainability, making “reduce, reuse, recycle” a way of life.
