Climate Action

Advancing tree plantation, ecosystem restoration, and urban greening initiatives.

Goal 7: Climate Action

Taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

At Hriday Foundation India, we recognize that climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time. Rising temperatures, extreme weather, and resource scarcity are already impacting lives and livelihoods. Guided by SDG 13: Climate Action, we support initiatives that restore ecosystems, promote sustainable practices, and build resilience within communities.

Our Key Interventions

  • Tree Plantation & Ecosystem Restoration: Organizing large-scale plantation drives, rural afforestation projects, and urban greening initiatives to improve air quality, protect biodiversity, and restore degraded lands.
  • Community-led Eco-restoration: Engaging civil society, volunteers, and local communities in rejuvenating rivers, wetlands, and watersheds to ensure long-term ecological balance.
  • Carbon Credit Program: Supporting sustainable development by enabling industries, businesses, and individuals to offset their carbon footprint through investments in tree plantation, renewable energy, and green community projects.
  • Awareness & Climate Literacy: Conducting campaigns that educate communities on the impact of climate change and the importance of sustainable lifestyle choices.
  • Partnership-driven Climate Solutions: Collaborating with government bodies, NGOs, and institutions to scale climate action for broader impact.

Through collaborations, Hriday Foundation India has contributed to eco-restoration initiatives and climate awareness programs that empower communities to actively participate in building resilience.

By integrating climate literacy into our outreach, we use SBCC to inspire sustainable choices, promote collective responsibility, and empower communities to take action against climate change.
